My Dad
By Anna Marie Taylor

My Dad’s a veteran of war,
He’s one of the best for sure.
His life was a battle to help us be free,
He rode in helicopters across the sea,
Fought for us through his fears,
While family at home shed tears,
Not knowing if he was alright,
Just knowing he was there to fight.
Years, months, days, and hours awake,
My Dad’s a soldier, he’s not a fake.
He’s a hero to alot of others,
He saved soldiers to send home to Mothers.
Friends died which made him sad,
But He came back to be the greatest Dad
He represents a trustworthy man,
A soldier, a warrior, and I am his biggest fan.
