Fellow Troopers,
Although this is not a typical entry for the Forum, I am posting this notice here for purpose of getting to the widest possible audience. I have been reading the Forum every day and enjoy the lively discussion. Thanks to Otis Carey and Pete Echon, we have an excellent site to exchange ideas on a variety of topics.

MEMORIAL DAY WREATH LAYING

Fellow Troopers,

The tradition continues and again this year, Don Snedeker has arranged for all 'Blackhorse' Troopers, friends and family to gather in Washington, D.C. to honor our fallen comrades at the Wall with the laying of a 'Blackhorse' Wreath near the apex of the Wall. Don's message and details are shown below:

"All Blackhorse Troopers, family, and friends are invited to participate in the annual Memorial Day wreath laying at the Wall.

When: 10:00 AM, Monday, 31 May 2004.
Where: Near the Three Soldiers Statue at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Washington, DC.
Who: All Blackhorse Troopers (all eras), family and friends.
What: We will initially gather near the statue of the Three Soldiers, say a few words, and then informally carry the wreath to the apex of the Wall (last time I was there, the Three Soldiers Statue was under renovation, so we may have to adjust where we meet -- but I'll be there by 0930, so look for the Blackhorse Patch Wreath).

The World War II Memorial will be dedicated this Memorial Day, so there will be a lot of Veterans in town. Plan on having a hard time finding a place to park, but also running into a lot of Blackhorse Veterans from other times and wars."

Allons!
Don Snedeker
