Vietnam War Insights Book

The Vietnam War--was it a civil war or an invasion? Was Ho Chi Minh a communist or a nationalist? Did the United States lose this war? These are but a few of the questions presented and examined by VIETNAM INSIGHTS: LOGIC OF INVOLVEMENT AND UNCONVENTIONAL PERSPECTIVES, by James M. Griffiths. In cogent and readable form the author focuses on the foreign policies and factors that created the logic for U.S. participation in Vietnam, often presenting a side not widely disseminated before. Vietnam is still having an effect on U.S. foreign policy. This volume is a valuable contribution to understanding this war that still haunts us.          JAMES M. GRIFFITHS is a Vietnam veteran who served with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment in 1968 and1969. Mr. Griffiths has taught high-school history for twenty-five years. Mr. Griffiths is a resident of Bridgman, Michigan for whom writing this book has fulfilled a lifelong goal.
