Task Force Baghdad Soldiers kill drive-by shooter

Task Force Baghdad Soldiers killed a terrorist who fired upon them while on patrol south of the Abu Ghraib Prison Facility Nov. 11.

The patrol from 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry received small-arms fire from a black sedan around 7 a.m.

The Soldiers returned fire and killed the driver who was armed with an AK-47 assault rifle.

The gunman had fired on U.S. forces who were investigating a possible improvised explosive device a few minutes earlier about two kilometers west of the prison.
