James W. Porter, HHT 2/11 and H Co, 2/70 - 2-71, left Seattle, Washington on
June 4th to get an early start to this years reunion in Washington, DC.
James didn't leave two months early just to take in the sights of the
capitol.

It will take James two months to get to DC. He is riding a bicycle. His email

at our reunion.  Look for him there and say hello.

An amazing challenge for an old guy like us.  James is 71 years old and was a
1st SGT when he served with the 11th Cav.  A real hard-core Cav Trooper.

James is with a group of cyclists, (the oldest is 72) who are riding for
various charities which include Cancer Research and Retired Catholic  Nuns.
The trip from west to east coast will take 48 days.

His scheduled arrival in Asbury Park, NJ is 21 July.  Watch for him along his
route. Go out and support him.
