FIRST SERGEANT ROSALAIO MONTELONGO, USA (Ret.) - 11TH ACR. 1966-1967, 1968-1969. RECEIVED A TOTAL OF TEN PURPLE HEART MEDALS FOR BEING WOUNDED AS MANY TIMES. MONTELONGO SERVED TWO TOURS WITH THE 11TH ACR IN VIETNAM AND SAW COMBAT IN KOREA AND WWII.

THE REGIMENT. LED THE ATTACK INTO
CAMBODIA 1970. ARMOR TACTACS CONSULTANT AND
HISTORIAN. THE HISTORY CHANNEL. BOOK CREDITS
INCLUDE ARMORED COMBAT IN VIETNAM. HE COMMANDED THE ARMOR CENTER AT FORT KNOX, THE U.S. V
CORPS IN USAREUR, TRADOC, AND THE U.S. READINESS COMMAND.

ONE OF OUR MOST FAMOUS NATIONAL MILITARY HEROES.

WAS WOUNDED IN THE CAMBODIAN INCURSION AND LOST THE LOWER PORTION OF HIS
LEG. LATER WAS COMMANDER OF ARMORED FORCES IN
THE GULF WAR THAT PURSUED AND ENGAGED THE ELITE REPUBLICAN GUARD AS THEY FLED KUWAIT. THIS
WAS THE LARGEST ARMORED FORCE EVER UNDER THE COMMAND OF ONE MAN. CO-AUTHORED BOOK WITH TOM CLANCY, INTO
THE STORM.

ACR PLATOON LEADER 1968-1969. AWARDED
THE CONGRESSIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR FOR HIS ACTION IN REPELLING AN AMBUSH BY NORTH VIETNAMESE
AGAINST A CONVOY ON 11 JANUARY 1969.
ACTOR RICADO MONTALBAN VISITED HIS SON, MARK, WHO WAS A MEDIC IN VIETNAM IN 1969.
